Jackson, Miss– If you’re looking to enjoy the weather this weekend, there are plenty of options around the state.

If you’re starting early on that Christmas shopping, consider something handmade at the Anderson Pottery Studio Show and Sale in Hernando. Jim Anderson’s Pottery is handmade, and is brought to life old-school style with the clay and the wheel..

Speaking of Old School, If you’re wanting to celebrate the industrial and agricultural history of your state, check out the Lake Washington Antique Tractor Show. You’ll get a glimpse of what life was like in the Delta days of old with tractors, trucks, and farm equipment displays. There will also be food and other vendors to enjoy at the set up at Paul Love Park.

To embrace the beauty and history of the early days of the Piney Woods, head down to Picayune to the Crosby Arboretum for the Piney Woods Heritage Festival. You’ll see blacksmithing, quilting, spinning and basket making.
