JACKSON, MISS–All that turkey and dressing needs to be burned off.. and if you’re looking for fun ways to get out and about this weekend, there’s plenty happening around the state.

First of all, if you’re ready for shopping, Saturday is known as Small Business Saturday. This is when you shop at your local places; so hit up your town square, the Main street, and the mom-and-pop shops and show some local businesses some love.

Now that we’re done talking turkey, you may be ready for Christmas! Christmas tours are starting statewide this weekend, like the 18th Annual Southern Lights, beginning at dark in Central Park in Southaven. Don’t rush–they’ll be up through Christmas.

After that, check out the Canton Victorian Christmas Festival which is also running through December 23. You’ll see a lovely square covered in over 200,000 lights that draws in visitors from all 50 states..

Then head south for the Christmas in the Park  tour in Tylertown, covering over 40 acres at Holmes Park.
