Mississippi Weekend: Scavenger hunts, barbecue showdowns, and golf

JACKSON, MISS– If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, there’s plenty happening around the state.

Grab your friends and family and head to Hernando for the 7th Annual Scavenger Hunt. If you know the town, you’re in good shape. You’ve got to compete as a team so pick a group you can trust. For more information, check out this website.
You’ve been cordially invited to the Downtown BBQ Showdown in Meridian at city hall. The backyard event will be giving away nearly $5,000 in cash prizes with live music, BBQ sampling and tons of fun. There’s a competitive side though, so vote for your favorite vittles on the way out.
The 9th Annual Pigskin Lowball Classic is happening in Olive Branch. It kicks off on Saturday and golfers will play through Sunday. Members and guests alike can join in on the fun as there will be plenty of golfing, gift cards, and prizes. For more information, check out their website.
