Mississippi’s Jobless Rate Shrinks

JACKSON, MISS– Mississippi’s jobless numbers are down for the third month in a row. 

More people are finding work, even if the job force is falling slightly.  The unemployment rate fell from 6.5% to 6.3%.

Mississippi has the fourth largest unemployment rate, trailing behind Alaska at 6.6%.

Business owners in Mississippi added 2,000 more workers to the payroll in March.
