Monday weather rundown: the return of the sizzle

After a few blessed days of less-than-intense heat, north Mississippi looking at highs returning to the lower 90s today. Your humidity levels look to be climbing as well, making for a sticky and hot beginning for your workweek. Tonight not looking too bad, though: dipping into the upper 60s for your overnight low. Tomorrow highs again breaching the 90 degree mark.

Central Mississippi also expecting plenty of sunshine and heat with highs climbing into the lower 90s. Clouds and a light breeze mark your Monday. Your overnight looking pleasant as well: lows dipping into the upper 60s after sunset. Tomorrow expect partly cloudy skies and highs ticking just above 90.

South Mississippi feeling some of the heat today as well: through the Pine Belt highs rolling over 90 for the next couple of days, with clouds wheeling overhead, though little chances for rain. Further south near the coast, highs only ticking into the mid and upper 80s today and tomorrow. Look for plenty of sunshine and stiff breezes.
