More severe weather possible Tuesday

JACKSON, MISS– More severe weather is ahead for Mississippi Tuesday, this time, hitting in the late evening hours.

Hail, high winds, heavy rains, severe thunderstorms and tornadoes are possible starting around 7 tonight and lasting through Wednesday morning.

Damaging wind gusts of 60mph and quarter size hail are the main threats from Columbus to Natchez and Southeast through Hattiesburg.

Temperature wise, it’s going to be a hot and downright humid day. 70’s for the highs in North Mississippi, pushing 80 for Central Mississippi, mid 70’s for South Mississippi. Lows dropping into the 40’s and 50’s.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, you’re looking for cooler weather with highs in the 50’s in North Mississippi, 60’s in Central Mississippi, and barely making it into the seventies along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.. With the forecast staying cool through the weekend.

The weekend brings more rain for North and Central Mississippi, though no severe weather slated for the weekend just yet.
