RICHLAND, Miss.–You’re being reminded to be extra careful when riding a motorcycle after a wreck Sunday night that killed experienced rider Dreyfus Cagings in Richland. He died while on the way to the hospital to see a friend who had also been in a bike accident the night before.

The wreck that killed Cagings happened just after 5 p.m. on Hwy. 49. The Rankin County coroner told media he slammed into the side of a big rig and died at the scene.

Cagings, 35, and the friend that had been in an accident were both part of the riding group “Friends of Fallen Riders”.

Not long after troopers worked the wreck, this was Tweeted out by MHP:

Please be extra safe and practice extra awareness when it comes to riding a motorcycle. The risk for accidents increases tremendously.
