There was a vehicle accident in Madison that involved a motorcycle on the northbound side of the east Frontage Road of Interstate 55.
It happened Tuesday around 6:00 p.m. When officers arrived they determined that the driver of a Yamaha mortorcycle lost control of it hitting the left concrete curb of the roadway and skidding into the median between northbound lanes.
No other vehicles were involved.
The driver was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was ejected during the accident. The driver was taken to University of Mississippi Medical Center by ambulance. However, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Officers are still investigating. No identity has been released at this time.
