MSU sets higher fundraising goal to $1 billion

STARKVILLE, Miss.- The original goal of the Infinite Impact campaign was set at $600 million in 2010 but Mississippi State University has increased that number to $1 billion.

The new goal was announced on Thursday by University president Dr. Mark Keenum.

“Now it’s time to raise the bar even further in our journey to become one of the nation’s leading research universities,” said Keenum.

He considers these donations investments in the future of student-led research teams as they make groundbreaking strides in varying fields.

“Infinite Impact is being fueled by donors who want to make a positive difference in the lives of people everywhere,” said vice president for Development and Alumni John Rush. He continued to remark that it has allowed for MSU to become more competitive and successful in recruiting efforts.

“The outpouring of support from donors at all levels has been a driving force in Mississippi State’s rise to the top,” says Keenum. He says the steps are bold but they are asking supporters to recommit to Mississippi State and continue efforts in the Infinite Impact campaign to get to the $1 billion mark.
