MSU Start-Up Company Gets $100,000

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Founders of the social media site CampusKnot have received a $100,000 investment from a Gulf Coast investor.

CampusKnot’s founders are current Mississippi State students and according to the university, the investment is the largest of it’s kind in the schools history.

Currently, the site has around 150 active users and looks to connect students  to campus-life along with other MSU academic resources.

The founders of the site say that they hope the service will grow and be picked up by other universities and colleges.

For investing $100,000, the venture capitalist will get 10 percent equity in CampusKnot.
