Murder in Vicksburg: One Charged With Murder, Two More Charged With Drugs

VICKSBURG, Miss.–A Saturday murder after an argument in Warren County led to deputies arresting three people. Tamares Ledell Dillon was charged with firing the shot that killed Joseph Acuff, 42, while Shelly Walker and Jeffery Eatmon were charged with having crystal meth and the stuff needed to package and sell the drug.

What Went Down

Sheriff Martin Pace told media that Acuff went to a house where Dillon was working on a car and they got into an argument. Pace said Dillon pulled a gun and shot Acuff, killing him. Deputies found him at Walker’s house later Saturday.

When they found Dillon, they also found a shotgun. Dillon is charged with second degree murder and being a felon in possession of a weapon.

Deputies said Eatmon and Walker had meth, so9me of it in a make-up bag, with the packaging paraphernalia. They also found a small handgun.

Only Dillon was charged in Acuff’s killing. All three were in jail in Warren County, with their first court date set for Monday.
