Murder in Philadelphia: Woman Found Dead Trying to Drive Away From Where She Was Shot

PHILADELPHIA, Miss.–Gunshots were heard by neighbors at the Sistrunk Trailer Park in Philadelphia Wednesday afternoon about 2. Police were called and while they were on the way another call came in that a car had wrecked not far from where the shots were fired.

Philadelphia Police Chief Grant Myers told media that a 29-year-old woman was found dead in the car. She had apparently been trying to drive away from where she was shot.

Now police are trying to figure out how it happened and, of course, who did it. They did not release the woman’s name Wednesday because her family had not been told.

The woman’s autopsy was set for Thursday at the state crime lab.

If you know anything that could help, call Crimestoppers or Philadelphia Police.
