LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss.–The body of Sara Beard Mullett, 25, was found by a person fishing Tuesday afternoon on a pond near Collinsville. A few hours later, deputies arrested the man they believe is responsible, her boyfriend, Kenneth Brian Weaver, 32.
Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun told WTOK that Mullett was last seen alive Friday with Weaver, leaving the Golden Moon Casino near Philadelphia.
Beard had been living in the area for three months.
Weaver’s bond was set Tuesday at $350,000. Mullett’s body was taken to Jackson for an autopsy to see how she died.
Calhoun acknowledged the help of Neshoba deputies and the Choctaw Police.
