National Prescription Drug Take Back Day: Where to Dump Your Unwanted Meds

JACKSON, Miss– Your home state is providing drop-off points to unload your old prescriptions Saturday for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Cleaning out the medicine cabinet is a hassle in itself, but not knowing what to do with the unwanted medications makes the chore even harder. The Drug Enforcement Administration is hosting National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday. They’ll be taking any unwanted prescriptions at various locations around the state.

Just chunking your old pills in the trash could get prescription drugs into the environment or the into the wrong hands. By properly disposing of the prescriptions, you’re keeping drugs out of the trash and off the streets.

There are numerous police departments already involved and the list is growing. Find the closest location to you at the DEA website.
