The national Emergency Alert System will now be heard annually for all broadcasts.
Beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 21 2017, the EAS Test Reporting System will run at 1:20 p.m., unless conditions would require an actual alert and not a test. If it is rescheduled the test will take place on October 4, 2017.
Broadcasters are required to update their EAS Test Reporting System (ETRS) information to confirm that all information for broadcast is correct.
