Navy plane from Meridian crashes in Tennessee

Reports from Tennessee have said a U.S. Navy plane from Meridian Mississippi went down Sunday afternoon in the Cherokee National Forest in Tellico Plains, Monroe County. 

NAS Meridian reported that a training aircraft went down on Sunday, Oct. 1.

The Navy confirmed that a T-45C Goshawk aircraft was in the area for training and had not returned to Mississippi by late Sunday. The statement said two pilots were on board, their status is currently unknown.
