Neighborhood Shot Up, Twin Brothers Blamed

JACKSON, Miss.-Over 200 rounds of ammo were possibly fired in a shootout that had a whole neighborhood in danger in Mississippi’s caputal city, and now twin brothers have been arrested,

JPD Spokesperson Colendula Green says 22-year-olds Marquarius and Jaquarius Bell were each charged with four counts of aggravated assault. They were picked up Tuesday.

One person was killed and as many as five others were wounded by bullets that flew freely, hitting and penetrating the homes of innocent neighbors.

The motive for the shootout was still unclear and Jackson detectives said more arrests were likely.

While violence is far from unusual in Jackson, this case was unique because of the intensity of the situation and the sheer number of bullets fired.
