New Fishing Record Set in Mississippi

BILOXI, Miss. – The Mississippi Commission on Marine Resources has certified a state fishing record.

Using conventional tackle, Harold Charlton, III of Ocean Springs broke the state record for the Spotfin hogfish (Bodianus pulchellus) with a fish that weighed 15.2 ounces. The previous record was 12.64 ounces and was set Oct. 9, 2013.
