Nissan Steers Money to Mississippi’s Newest Museums

JACKSON, Miss. – Nissan  has donated $500,000 to the Mississippi Department of Archives and History.

The funds will be used to support construction and exhibits at the Museum of Mississippi History and the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum.  Both are being built side-by-side in Jackson and are expected to open in December of 2017.  A portion of the funds will also be used to help with galleries at the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum that highlight the stories and music of the state’s civil rights history.
