No Text-and-Drive About to Take Effect

JACKSON, Miss. –  If you’re caught texting-while-driving, starting Wednesday, you will receive a fine. The new law also bans you from posting to social media sites, while driving.

During the first year the fine for texting will be $25 dollars. By the same time next year that number will change $100 per incident.

Another law that will take effect Wednesday, is one that will allow gun owners to carry their weapon in either a briefcase, satchel or purse, without the requirement of a concealed-carry license.
