Nunnelee to Take Capitol Oath in Mississippi in the Near Future

TUPELO, Miss. – North Mississippi U-S Congressman Alan Nunnelee will take the oath of office in Tupleo because he’s too sick to go back to Washington.

Federal District Judge Michael Mills will come to Mississippi to conduct the swearing in ceremony, but it’s unclear though when it will happen. Nunnelee is getting treatment at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tuplelo for  bleeding in his left leg.   He had brain surgery over the summer and had been recovering from a stroke he suffered during that operation.

The five other members of the state’s congressional delegation were sworn into office earlier this week.
