COLUMBUS, Miss. – Two Lowndes County deputies were shot Tuesday while at a home in the New Hope area.
The deputies were taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle In Columbus. Their names and conditions were not immediately known. A suspect was taken into custody.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is helping to investigate the shootings.
