Ok, Apparently This is The Plan…Shoplift, No Matter If Police Are Standing in Store

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss.  – A Hurley woman has been arrested after law officers said they saw her shoplifting.

A Jackson County Deputy said he and a Mississippi Fish and Wildlife officer watched Shelli Holt pack t-shirts, pencils and backpacks under her shirt early Monday morning at a store on Hwy 63.  They say she went to the counter, paid for some cigarettes and left.

The officers tried to stop Holt, but they claim she ran to her vehicle and sped off.  After a brief chase, she was finally caught her and arrested.  Holt is charged with shoplifting, driving with a suspended driver’s license, no car tag, and no insurance.  She is free on a $4,000 bond.
