Ole Miss Students Arrested for Assault

OXFORD, Miss.- Five fraternity members at the University of Mississippi were arrested for allegedly assaulting the member of a different fraternity.

The men were Tucker Cole Steil, James Declan Basile, Christian Guy, Kyle Hughes, and Austin Rice all members of Pi Kappa Alpha. They were taken into custody on Friday after assaulting Jeremy Boyle a member of the Sigma Pi house.  The Clarion Ledger reports that on October 6th Boyle went to investigate a noise he heard outside his house. When he got out there he was attacked by the men. Boyle suffered from a concussion, broken ear drum, broken teeth, a bruised lung, bruised ribs, and a bruised groin, said his grandfather Robert Boyle.

The five are facing charges ranging from assault and hazing to larceny.

The University has a zero-tolerance policy for hazing but the family is not happy with how the school has handled the situation so far. They believe all the men will get is a slap on the wrist.
