JACKSON, Miss.- Jackson Officials have reported a fatal wreck on I-55 South at Fortification Street. The accident involved an 18-wheeler said to have hit a bridge leaving one dead.
When officials arrived they pronounced the driver of the truck dead.

First responders and law enforcement officials are currently on the scene. Severe traffic delays are expected.
The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality is also there to address an oil leak from the truck that is running off into a nearby ditch.
@MDEQ is on scene of fatal 18 wheeler accident on I-55S assisting with removal and contamination of fluids associated with the accident.
