OXFORD, Miss. – A petition has gone up trying to make the landshark the official mascot of the University of Mississippi.
The petition has been created on the website change.org attempting to gather interest on the potential mascot.
In the petition it say’s that they’re hoping to get in touch with alumni as well as the student body.
The petition is addressed to the Ole Miss Athletic Director Ross Bjork.
So far the petition has gathered more than 3,300 signatures.
