Picayune Museum Ready for Visitors

PICAYUNE, Miss. – The history of Pearl River County as well as the city of Picayune will be on display following Thursday’s (6/25) ribbon cutting.

 Jerry Stough, Is a member of the pearl river county historical society and says it took over a year to get the collection ready.

The museum will feature items from Leanard Kimball along with 19th century school books and artifacts relating to the counties early logging days.

The museum is located on the third floor of Old City Hall. Visitors must call ahead-of-time in order to visit the museum.
