SMITH COUNTY, Miss.–Stormy weather Saturday night may have been what caused the pilot of a small Cessna airplane to try and land his craft on Hwy. 28 near Mize. The landing could be called less than successful, after his plane flipped.
The pilot was taken to the hospital in Laurel.
WLBT reports he was flying from Atlanta to Houston when he got caught in a storm and tried to land the plane on the highway.
