KENNER, LA. — Kenner Police are now saying they believe 22-year-old Jaren Lockhart’s body was dumped off the Bay St. Louis Bridge. Lockhart was the New Orleans dancer whose dismembered body that washed up on the shores of Hancock County back in 2012. She also had a single stab wound to her torso.

Margret Sanchez, 30, was arrested yesterday by US Marshals, charged with second degree murder. According to Kenner Police Chief Steve Caraway, she and Terry Speaks were last two seen with Lockhart leaving a strip club on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Plate recognition cameras tracked their car going New Orleans to Kenner and then going to Mississippi briefly before returning.  Caraway says Kenner Police now have two new witnesses in the case and new evidence uncovered in the last two weeks allowed them to put out a warrant for Sanchez’s arrest.

Speaks is currently being held behind bars in New York for charges of failing to register as a sex offender. Caraway says detectives have already been sent to New York to conduct interviews with him. Speaks still has not been charged but still remains a prime suspect in the case.
