Police Need Help To ID Murder Victim

MERIDIAN, Miss. — A murder mystery in Meridian and your help is urgently needed.

Known now only as John Doe, police say a man was found dead inside a mobile home February 13.  “A preliminary autopsy shows he was shot multiple times, I believe on the left side,” explains Meridian Police Lt. John Griffith.
There was no ID on the man and Griffith said the person that found the body didn’t stick around to talk to investigators.  “He told our dispatcher that he had warrants on him so he wasn’t gonna wait.”

Police are now asking the public for identification help.  “He was about six foot, a little over about 250, 300 pounds.  A clean cut black man.  He had a small beard and mustache.  It was well groomed,” said Griffith.  John Doe-Meridian

Anyone with information about  the  identity of this person is asked to contact the Meridian Police Department at 601-485-1893.
