PRENTISS, Miss. – Crystal Smith, 39, is recovering in the hospital after being found in a drainage ditch last week.
Police say that Smith was left for dead and was only found after witnesses reported seeing a woman’s body near Rails to Trails in Prentiss.
Chief Joseph Bullock of the Prentiss Police Department tells WDAM, that after several surgeries, Smith’s condition is improving.
Authorities continue to investigate the situation. So far, no arrests have been made.
