Rain and cold temperatures – 2-18-19

Here’s a quick rundown of the weather today across Mississippi.

In north Mississippi, cold temperatures this morning chances of light rain and a slight chance of light snow early morning hours. Rain and thunderstorms chances will be likely in the afternoon, however, there will be no snow accumulations. Highs will reach the mid to upper 40s. At night, not as cool with showers and a chance of thunderstorms. Locally, heavy rainfall is possible. Lows will drop down into the mid-40s.

In central Mississippi, light rain likely in the morning with a slight chance of thunderstorms during the day and more light rain in the afternoon. Highs will climb into the lower to mid-50s. In the evening, showers are likely along with a slight chance of thunderstorms in the evening and continuing after midnight. Locally, more heavy rainfall is possible after midnight. Lows will dip down into the lower 50s.

In south Mississippi, cloudy skies with a slight chance of light rain in the morning. More light rain is likely in the afternoon with a few chances of thunderstorms. Temperatures will be in the lower 60s. At night, more thunderstorm chances in the evening with showers likely during the night and more thunderstorms after midnight. Lows will near 60.
