Recall for Kraft Single-Slice Cheese

SPRINGFIELD, MO.- If you’re grilling out for Labor Day, you better check your Kraft Cheese Slices packages first.

Kraft Foods Group is recalling 7,691 cases of its single-slices American cheese after they said an ingredient wasn’t stored at the correct temperature, and could cause the cheese to spoil.

There haven’t been any illnesses from the cheese confirmed at this point.

The recall applies to 12, 16 or 24 ounce packages with “best when used by” dates of Feb. 20, 2015, and Feb. 21, 2015.

You can find the “best when used by” dates on the bottom of the product package.  No other Kraft singles products are impacted by this recall.

The affected product was shipped to customers across the United States. It was not distributed outside of the United States, but some of those packages may be in your local grocery stores in Mississippi.

The cheese came out of the Kraft plant in Springfield, MO.

If you bought the cheese, do not eat it and you can return them to the store for an exchange or full refund.
