Recent Jackson County UFO Description Strangely Similar to 1973 Abduction Claim

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. — Could it be a close encounter, or a maybe a drone?  Whatever it is, a couple from rural Jackson County is digging for answers. Rainer and Edith Shattles showed television station WLOX footage of a strange object captured by one of their trail cameras back in February.

Deer pass by the camera when suddenly two bright lights appear, focusing on the deer. They get brighter and then seem to fly off. At first the couple thought it could have been a car, but there is no road and the lights seem to be far off the ground.

This is not the first time people in Jackson County have had an experience with a UFO. The county is home to one of the country’s most famous UFO encounters, where the late Charles Hickson and Clavin Parker claim they were abducted by aliens while fishing near Pascagoula in 1973.

In an interview Hickon’s initial description sounds eerily similar to what the Shattles’s caught on camera.

“As I turned around, I saw two blue flashing lights, or either pulsating lights. I’m not sure. It seemed like it was some type of craft and it seemed like it was almost down to the ground then. In fact it seemed to be a couple feet above the ground and it just hovered there.”
