BELZONI, Miss. – A registered sex offender, found living near an elementary school in Humphreys County, has been arrested for child exploitation and other charges.
Leroy Bowman, 25, was arrested at his Belzoni home Wednesday by agents with the state Attorney General’s office and charged with one count of child exploitation, three counts of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and violation of the sex offender registry. “Our cyber investigators made this arrest following an undercover child exploitation investigation,” said Attorney General Jim Hood. “We cannot reveal the specific results at this time.”
If convicted on all counts, Bowman could go to jail for as long 75 years.
