Religion in School, Was a Rankin County Teacher in the Wrong???

RANKIN COUNTY – At first, the American Humanist Association came out saying that an atheist student was offended after world history teacher, Rick Hammarstrom, allegedly said that “atheist have a holiday, it’s called April Fools.”

Now, A lawyer for the school district has come out saying, that’s not what happened.

The attorney claims the teacher said, “you are a fool if you don’t believe in God.” but was quoting a prosecutors statement, during class discussion.

The lawyer for the school district says he’s still investigating to find out exactly what happened.
