Repairs Begin on Six-Year-Old Leak at Ross Barnett Reservoir

FLOWOOD, Miss. — Work that has been a long time coming at the Ross Barnett Reservoir has finally come. The Pearl River Valley Water Supply District has been monitoring a leak at the reservoir’s dam for past six years, and district finally has enough money to start fixing it. The project is expected to cost around $600,000 and it could take about 4 months to complete.

The repairs are necessary to prevent dam failure which could cause flooding.
