Banks and McDonald’s Putting up Reward Money for Shooting, Bank Robbery in Tupelo

TUPELO, Miss. — The reward money for a shooting that killed on Tupelo police officer and critically injured another on Tuesday has been doubled.

In total now, the reward is over $162,500.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has put up $50,000 and BancorpSouth, whose branch was robbed on Tuesday, has also matched that with $50,000.

According to the Daily Journal, Renasant Bank has put up $25,000, Trustmark and Regions $7,500 each, and McDonald’s of north Mississippi has added $5,000.

Cpl. Gale Stauffer died of injuries from a shootout with suspects and the name of the other officer injured is not known.
