Rose Cochran Photo Scandal Suspect Pleads Guilty

MADISON COUNTY, Miss. — John Mary has plead guilty in the Rose Cochran photos scandal. You may remember before Mississippi’s June 3rd Senate election, Clayton Kelly was accused of sneaking into a Madison nursing home on Easter weekend and taking pictures of Senator Thad Cochran’s bedridden wife, who suffers from dementia.

Wednesday’s guilty plea was from John Mary for conspiring to commit the crime over social media. Clayton Kelly, Richard Sagar, and Madison Attorney Mark Mayfield who recently committed suicide were also charged. Facebook messages between Mary and the other men charged in the conspiracy were shown to the court as evidence.

Mary is not expected to see any time behind bars because of a plea deal that was made. Instead, he will serve five years probation non-adjudicated.
