School Bus Wreck, No students seriously injured

HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss.- Tuesday morning on Highway 43 near the Pearl River-Hancock County Line.

WLOX reported that Assistant Superintendent Melissa Holston said the wreck happened around 7:15 this morning.

County Sheriff David Allison said the truck rear-ended the school bus as it was stopped to pick up students. The bus was carrying 23 middle school students but none were seriously hurt. No children had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance, but two students were taken later, as a precaution, by their parents.

The driver of the truck was also okay.

NewsMs reported on air earlier that another school bus in Collins was involved in a wreck. No students were injured there, but two passengers in the other vehicle were killed and the driver is at the hospital in critical condition.
