JACKSON, Miss. — The West Nile virus has taken hold of another victim. The Mississippi State Department of Health says it is the second infection this year. The infection was in Forrest County, the first was back in April in Madison.
Last year West Nile resulted in 247 infected and 5 deaths. The high-risk season is typically July through September.
