Shot 14 Times, Men Accused in Shooting Have First Day in Court

MERIDIAN, Miss.–You might remember the story of Christopher Gregory, 27, of Meridian, whose body was discovered in a trailer in the city Feb. 13. His body had no ID and it took a couple of weeks to find out who he was. The three guys accused of shooting him were in court Wednesday for the first time.

All three men, Jasper Hill, 23; Billy Barrett, 21; and Terikay Rackley, 21, got a $1.5 million bond.

Testimony in court showed that Gregory was shot Jan. 23 and nobody knew about it until a phone call from an unknown source.

Testimony also showed that Gregory had been shot 14 times.

The grand jury will hear the case against the men. It was unclear if it would be the next grand jury, which convenes at the end of the month.
