ATLANTA, Ga.–A fight at an Atlanta-area apartment complex that started over some candy ended Wednesday night with a pro baseball player from Madison, Miss. shot and killed. Ryan Bolden, 23, a 2010 Major League draft pick, died at an Atlanta hospital.

Fox 5 reports Bolden tried to stop the fight that started with kids and ended with adults getting involved.

He was there visiting family.

Police say they believe they know who pulled the trigger, but have not made an arrest.

Bolden had a .347 batting average when he played for Madison Central. His average was below .200 for the Angels.
