The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has cancelled a Silver Alert for 41-year-old Timothy Lewis.
According to the Jackson Police Department Lewis recently made contact with his mother and is safe. He has not yet returned home but informed her that he is with friends and is doing well. Lewis is not believed to be in any apparent danger.

Mr. Lewis is described as a black male, six feet tall, weighing 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen October 18 at about 6:00 p.m. walking in the 900 block of Lakeland Drive.
Family members say he suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgement.
