VICKSBURG, Miss. – A funeral, 150 years after his death.

Private, Preston C. Wall was a confederate soldier who died June 29, 1863, during the siege of Vicksburg.
At 23, Wall was already considered a seasoned veteran of the war and his cause and place of death was thought to have been lost in history.

A decedent of Wall’s brother told WAPT that it’s nice to have a marker that in some way memorializes him.
