Son Won’t Stand Trial for Death of Firefighter Dad

ORLANDO, Fl. — The son of the Pearl firefighter who died after a fight between the two will not stand trial.

Taylor Harris had been charged with manslaughter and aggravated battery in the death of Leonard Harris; but a grand jury has decided not to indict him.

The family was on vacation in Florida when police say the two got into a fight outside a restaurant on July 7.  Taylor Harris was accused of hitting his dad so hard that it knocked him to the ground and he hit his head.  The other Harris was transported back to a Mississippi hospital July 16; and died less than a day later.
