CHARLESTON, S.C.–A shooting during the Wednesday night prayer meeting at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, S.C., has left nine people dead, including the church’s pastor. The suspect, a white man in his early 20s, had still not been caught early Thursday.
Authorities in Charleston were calling the shooting a hate crime and the FBI was expected to assist in solving the shooting and prosecution.
