House District 38 will see 3 people vying for the seat left vacant after the retirement of longtime representative Tyrone Ellis.
Lisa Wynn, a former Starkville alderwoman.
Cheikh Taylor, executive director of the after-school program Brickfire Project.
And business owner Narissa Bradford.
All are from Starkville. The special election will take place on November 7th.
