State Board of Education Approves Scott County District Takeover

JACKSON, Miss. – The State Board of Education has decided to go through with a state takeover of Scott County Schools. The district was found in violation of several state and federal standards back in November 2013 during an audit. If the governor approves the decision to appoint a conservator, both the superintendent and the Scott County School Board will lose their jobs.
