State Senator Brown in The Hospital

JACKSON, Miss.  Mississippi Senate President Pro Tempore Terry Brown (R-Columbus) is in the hospital after having very aggressive treatment for cancer.

In a Thursday email to News Mississippi, Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves said he visited with Brown and his family Wednesday.  “Many people across Mississippi love Senator Brown dearly and are praying for him and his family,” Reeves said.  “The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Brown has served in the Mississippi Senate since 2004.  He became president pro tem in early 2012.
